Day 7

On our last day we will go ziplining with Ziptrek Ecotours in Whistler. Then we will catch the bus, Pacific Coach Lines, back to Vancouver International Airport. We will then, sadly, fly back to Toronto.

THE DETAILS

WHY: Every year of my life I have travelled to the East coast of Canada to visit my mother's family. I have never had the opportunity to travel any further west of Ontario in our beautiful, diverse country. This desire to explore more of what our country has to offer as well as my love for downhill skiing has inspired me to plan my dream trip to British Columbia where I will spend time in Vancouver and Whistler.

WHEN: As much as I would have loved to be in Vancouver/ Whistler for the 2010 Olympic Games, I am planning my dream trip for my 2013 Reading Week (February). This will hopefully give me enough time to save up the money I need to embark on this trip of a lifetime.

WHO: I want to spend this trip with 2 or 3 of my best girl friends. Having a small group of adventurous girls who are adequate skiers or snowboarders will allow me to get the most out of this awesome adventure I have planned.

BUDGET

Flights: ~$600 (round trip Toronto Int. Airport to Vancouver Int. Airport on West Jet)

Accomodations: ~$480 (3 nights in Vancouver at the Fairmont and 3 nights in Whistler at the Aava Whistler Hotel)

Travel: ~$150 (round trip bus ride with Pacific Coach Lines from downtown Vancouver to Whistler then Whistler to Vancouver International Airport)

Food: ~$500 (approx 19 meals)

Ski lift tickets: ~$200 (2 day adult lift ticket for Whistler Blackcomb)

Spending money: broken down in daily sections (total: ~$260)

Grand Total: ~$2190
